Hello,
My name is Ruzia Ishfaq and I have been working at Bradley Primary School for a number of years. My role in school is to provide information and support families within our school community.
I can help you with any worries that you may have in relation to your child's education, behaviour and wellbeing. My aim is to ensure every child is happy in school and at home.
If you have any concerns which you want to discuss I can visit you at home or you are very welcome to come into school at a time that suits you.
Advice and support is confidential and none judgmental although concerns relating to the safeguarding of children will always be dealt with in accordance with the school's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.
I can reassure you that any information shared will be heard with empathy and care. I may not have all the answers, but hopefully working together as partners we can achieve the best for you and your family.
Support for pupils includes:
- Promoting good attendance and punctuality
- Develop self-esteem, confidence and character building
- Encourage positive behaviour and build positive attitude towards learning
- Develop self-care skills
- Providing one-to-one support and understanding around different emotions and experiences.
Support for families includes:
- Offer Early Help assistance through Team Around the Family support.
- Providing information and signposting to other services in the local area
- Liaise with a range of external services such as Housing and Social Care
- Assistance in completing paperwork and forms e.g. housing, special educational needs, school places, immigration status, benefits, food parcel, budgeting, homelessness and debt etc.
- Advice and support in promoting positive behaviour and how to manage your child at home
- Issue causing stress or anxiety.
